no blossoms
by Jason Alan
there were no blossoms
in her hair
so fair
for it was she who was the flower
why add even one second
to a blissfully perfect hour
there were no blossoms
in her yard
her elegance barred
any life that grew
unless it was br oken and scarred
there were no blossoms
in her eyes
the radiance allowed no room
there were no blossoms
in her belly
just a barren w0mb
For me and interesting mixture of emotions in the poem…beauty and sadness.
I tried to write one without sadness but it didn’t work out that way.
Reminds me of a manga I read once, for some reason.
That veers from the lush to the desolate, effortlessly.
Very powerful.
Beautifully written; so romantic and revealing.
well done sir. i would be very proud had i written this.
